My love of photography started at a young age. I remember buying my first camera when I was ten years old to take to a family reunion in Minnesota. While the camera did not last very long (it was pretty cheap), I still have the pictures that I took that summer. For me, photography is all about preserving memories. Now that I have my own child it is even more important to me. He will not look the same tomorrow as he does today. We are all changing… some more rapidly than others. My goal is to help you create beautiful, fun and creative images that you will treasure for a lifetime.
While in college I was a photographer for the President’s Office. I took photos that appeared in the college view book, course catalog and other university publications. I was also a staff photographer for the yearbook. I have taken pictures of food items (ice cream is a tricky thing to shoot) which were printed in various trade magazines. I have covered weddings, golf tournaments, anniversaries and freshman orientation week. I spent the last three years teaching middle school where I was the yearbook coordinator for two of those years. Now I have my own studio and I am ready to help others preserve priceless images to have and to share for years to come.
